Last point I'd like to make is maybe add some form of quest book. Again, I understand if this can't be avoided, but just something I felt like pointing out as being a bit unfair with how early on it was. It didn't exactly help how it has that Whirlpool attack that drags items with it, so it would constantly be pulling items that I fish up away from me out into the middle of the sea, only to come back and keep camping. I know this modpack is meant to be hard and make the ocean dangerous, but about 5 minutes in a Rao managed to detect me and was camping my base I had yet to find any driftwood via fishing at this point, so I quite literally could not make anything to defend myself. Third issue, and I understand if this one can't be avoided. My potential fix is either drastically reduce the drop rate of the loot bags, or configure it so passive fish cannot drop them. Within the first 10 minutes I had already had 2 Enchanted Golden Apples as well as a Diamond Sword and 5 saplings to start a tree farm, which I feel is way too overpowered, especially this early in the game. This goes in hand with the passive fish issue, as I think they're currently configurated to drop the loot bags themselves, as I keep finding them constantly on the ocean surface, even including the "Artificial Lootbags" that don't even have a drop rate, so I assume(?) they're a Creative Mode thing. Second issue The loot bags are really broken. I have a custom built PC meant to run games, and even then, due to all the entities the internal server gets a lot of lag spikes (blocks don't drop when broken for a few seconds only to reappear and then break, mobs stop moving, etc.) I'm not sure if it's because of the ocean monument nearby? But if that's not the case, maybe look into either seeing if you can make it so Guardians don't attack the passive fish, or that there are overall less Guardians. Because of this, the ocean is FLOODED with drops on the top. One thing I noticed is that due to the mass amount of Guardians on the map, they are constantly killing all the fish that are spawning. Quite a few things, to be completely honest, and please don't take them too negatively. If you want to do a YouTube video on this modpack, make sure you leave a link to the modpack's page and my YouTube page in your description. Ice and Fire: Dragons in a whole new light!.Remember that by doing this, you won't spawn with a pre-built raft. If you want to start a new world, make sure you make it custom with the ocean level at 80 if you don't want islands, and have the biomes set to only ocean or deep ocean. Sure, you have plenty of shelter, but there are also a lot of nagas. You are surrounded by buildings half-submerged underwater. The Lost City save is probably the hardest one. This sounds like it would give easy access to resources, but land is usually guarded by nagas. The Islands save is like Stranded but with islands scattered around. The Stranded save spawns you in a world of nothing but water. You start off with three saves, all of which spawn you in a small room floating above the water with a rideable and expandable raft outside. Yes, you could dive down into the depths and get resources or find land if the world has it, but that way, you have a far greater chance of getting eaten by something. You may be able to get driftwood, which can be crafted into planks. In this, the first thing you want to do is go fishing. When in most packs, it starts with you mining a tree or gravel patch. You start with a wooden sword, a fishing rod, a shield, some leather armor, some bread, and a boat that can be built upon. In this pack, you spawn in a world of nothing but ocean (there can also be islands or drowned cities depending on which world you play). Here's a link to the steam page if you'd like to check it out: This modpack is heavily inspired by the game, Raft, which I do NOT own. The world's nothing but a vast and deadly ocean, and all you have is a raft, cobblestone generator, and fishing rod. Wow, how did this pack get 100,000 downloads? Whether you enjoyed the pack or not (probably the latter), thank you all for playing! There are several pre-built worlds to try out until a system for raft generation on new worlds is someday implemented. More info below! In the current version of the modpack, you cannot create your own world with the raft. I hope to have a small team helping with the project, and if you're interested in helping, please feel free to DM me. I was not expecting this modpack to garner so much attention, and you all deserve a much more polished experienced than this. I have plans to remake this modpack to truly fit the expectations you all have.
